We make high-quality sustainable resins from post-consumer plastic. And we’ve been doing it forever.
We create value out of trash. As our company continues to grow the volume and diversity of the materials it recycles, its business operations also have grown in sophistication. Today, Haiti Recycling’s operations is a team of approximately 300 employees.
Our managers and supervisors help ensure strict quality standards are achieved.
We use up to date softwares and automation processes are set forth, in order for us to keep increasing our process capacity and operate 24 hours per day.
The Sajous family, however, sees continuing opportunity and optimism in Haiti, which has a current population of 11 million that forecasts show may double by 2030. The current line operates 24 hours per day.
We are a family-owned business which was founded by Mr. Gary Sajous Sr. in 1976. What had initially started as the recycling of only non-ferrous metals, quickly grew and expended to the recycling of many other items. We are proud to say that our domain of expertise and knowledge now includes the recycling of most recyclable items, such as non-ferrous and ferrous metals, plastics, paper, cardboard and E-scrap.
At Haiti Recycling we also process PET we source locally since 2008. Our plastic PET bottles are segregated, washed, grinded and turned into plastic flakes. We are strongly committed to continuous innovation. We never cease to invest in our infrastructures, automation processes and technologies.
We work hard to ensure that our clients get the best available products.
All material is sorted closely according the specifications published by the U.S.-based Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) and to customers’ requirements. We are devoted to being a consistent supplier.
We work hand and hand with smaller entrepreneurship cells. We do not organize waste recollection nor use municipal collection of waste and/or scrap materials.
All the scrap brought to our plant is duly weighted. Purchase price varies according to quantity, segregation and type of material.
Teaching the next generation about the impact of waste on the environment, transmitting recycling know how on waste collection and segregation processes for all the different materials is a game changer.
Understanding that creating green and clean surroundings will help promote higher standards of health and hygiene.
Striving to keep being part of making plastics more circular.
We only have one Planet and it is now more than ever pressing to protect it.
